Aside from being a successful independent hip-hop artist who has managed to generate more than 20 million streams on various platforms, Matt Corman is also a thriving entrepreneur. He founded his company Make It Happen Universal, which has developed a cult-like following because of the artist’s personal touch on the brand. From classic pullover hoodies to sweatshirts, Corman has successfully built a brand that promotes a carefree and unique lifestyle.

What makes Make It Happen truly impressive is that it picks a charitable institution to donate to every month as the company’s way of making a difference in the community. On a personal level, Matt Corman has always been inclined to help those who are in need. One of his objectives in life is to one day visit underdeveloped communities and contribute to initiatives designed to make them sustainable long-term.

“I realized my fans really connected with my authenticity and transparency with my brand. As in, I know what it’s like to not have the resources but I promise you can find a way to make things work. Make It Happen became the slogan I kept using when I hit roadblocks, fittingly so I turned it into my brand. I love being able to connect with my listeners on a personal level and become more than just a musician they turn on. But, rather a beacon of hope they can count on to help get through in tough situations,” Corman reveals.

As Make It Happen continues to be a testimony of Corman’s hard work and perseverance in life despite the many obstacles he encountered, more and more people are able to relate to what it stands for. The brand is something that Corman lives for, and he works hard to further improve it, not for the money, but to be able to show his followers that great rewards await those who endure and never give up.

As an artist, Matt Corman surprised his fans and hip-hop enthusiasts around the country when he announced that he will drop a new single every Friday from August 28, 2020. As an independent songwriter, rapper, and producer, Corman enjoys complete freedom in writing and recording his songs. Despite having been invited by numerous major recording labels in the industry to come on board, he still chose to remain independent so he can stay true to his musical style.

“Being Independent, I am the machine that drives my business forward. I have complete ownership of my masters, distribution, publishing and brand direction. I have built this business from the ground up with zero help. I have toured the United States alongside big time artists as well as sold out three of my own headline shows in Boston, Massachusetts,” Corman proudly shares.

Matt Corman became a national hip-hop figure in 2014 after releasing his debut mixtape titled Bars Over Bass, which he produced from the confines of his college dorm room. In 2015, he released his second mixtape called Speak First. By this time, he was already gaining momentum in his music career and performed front acts for big names in the industry that include Post Malone, Fetty Wap, Sammy Adams, and Cam Meekins. The following year, Corman collaborated with Nicco Catalano (Neek) out of Los Angeles, California, to help him further improve his music. By the end of 2016, Corman did a remarkable performance for Sammy Adams’ sold-out event at the House of Blues in Boston. Corman has had the privilege of going on tour with various big artists in the industry that includes Aaron Carter.

In the future, Matt Corman sees himself developing his own recording label to help aspiring artists to find their footing in the industry. He wants to be able to mentor other artists and share his insights on being an independent rapper who achieved success even without the support of a major recording label. Additionally, Corman dreams of one day making it to the top 10 of the Billboard Charts. With grit and hard work, he is confident that he will one day make it.
