In 2007, a freak accident that physically crushed her body left her near to death. A broken back, pelvis, and femur left her unable to walk. But with intense physical therapy, Amanda Marie Wilkinson progressed from sitting in a wheelchair to ultimately regaining her ability to walk again. “I was very young, and I didn’t have anyone who was able to physically, emotionally, and financially take care of me. My mother was sick and eventually passed on too. I didn’t have a family around that was able to help me,” she painfully narrates as she recalled her experience.
Amanda Marie Wilkinson has faced many sets of challenges throughout life and survived some of the harshest adversities thrown at her. From experiencing homelessness to nearly losing her life a few times, she has grown into a powerful, driven, and passionate person ready to chase after what she aspires in life. For her, looking back is not a part of her options. “I never let the uncontrollable circumstances interfere with the core of who I was and all that it has allowed me to grow into,” she explains.
Growing up poor, Amanda Marie Wilkinson received all her resources from the love and support of the community. At one point in her life, a kind family adopted her and helped her become a better person. She never gave up on herself and continued to fight for what she believed and wanted in life. Today, her lifelong passion is serving the community, and she lives by the slogan “unity with community.”
With many stories at hand, she uses her artistry to share her inspirational experiences in life to the world. As a songwriter and musician, she is able to paint a picture of what life has been like for her in the minds of her listeners. Through this impactful ability, she establishes a deep connection with her audience.
“We are the limitations to ourselves,” shares Amanda Marie Wilkinson. She continued to say that timing may not always be perfect in some cases, but it does not mean that there will never be a time to do it. “Remember that with every crumble in life, it can also become your step to climb,” expresses the rising entertainment personality.
