Ankur Bindal Highlights the True Cost of Turnover and Retention for Organizations

At first, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I knew two things, I didn’t want to go to college and I didn’t want to work the 9-5.

I decided to start selling services locally, at first I offered web development and social media marketing, then it basically grew from there, and I just ran with it.

How did you start your first business when you didn’t have a lot of money at the time?

When I was 14 I started cutting my grandparents lawn, along with a few of their neighbors. Doing this gave me the understanding of budgeting and planning at an early age, since my parents had me buy new blades and gas for the equipment, this taught me the fundamentals of running a business.

I used this same knowledge when I entered the digital world. This is why I decided to start my first business with services I am able to provide on my own, without having to outsource. I started with a few hundred dollars.

How do you keep track of everything?

Currently I have a small team of dedicated like minded partners, and we all have specific tasks we keep track of, to prevent anything being overlooked or one of us being overloaded.

The main issue I have seen others run into is they take on too much too quickly, and basically overload themselves before they have the opportunity to master their craft. This is why having a team around you is very beneficial, because you can work on multiple projects at once.

What helps motivate you?

My three main motivations are; watching our clients’ businesses and brands succeed, watching other entrepreneurs succeed. Most importantly my support system, who root for me daily and help me mentally, without those people, I would be lost.
