For a lot of people, dropping everything to pursue one’s dreams is not an option they can afford. Society has set a standard path for everyone to follow — go to school, graduate, find a job, get married, have children, prepare for retirement. There is no step indicated for the pursuit of individual vision, and only those with the courage to find another path can reach the star that they want.

R. Nicole Sharp, fashion designer and CEO of multi-figure Griffin Consulting Partners LLC, found a way to go after her heart’s desires by designing her own life journey.

Intimate with the shackles of corporate America, R. Nicole knows the limited freedom that comes with a nine-to-five routine. So, she decided to become a slash entrepreneur. Slash entrepreneurs are individuals making simultaneous multiple incomes from different industries. In R. Nicole’s case, she drew inspiration from her passion projects to establish money-generating businesses and became a shoemaker, shoe designer, and travel bag designer for two different brands that would come to dominate the field.

Her shoe line, R. Nicole Collection, grew by word of mouth, and its fame started when she designed a pair of shoes to wear during a sorority conference only to find other women admiring her design. Now, the Collection has expanded to cater to person-specific needs. Its competitive edge lies in its ability to allow customers to have a say during the made to order process. Each year, R. Nicole collection releases new designs to be voted on by customers. Once the new model is launched and ready for order, customers can let the company know of any foot issues that would be addressed through customizations. R. Nicole Collection is the go-to line for shoe lovers who have the on-trend fashion sense and eye to appreciate detailed designs and elements.

Tashka, another brainchild of R. Nicole, is a patented travel bag. The name is based on the Irish phonetic word, Taisce, which means to “store, treasure, or hoard items which we value.” And true to its name, Tashka Travel Bag and Luggage does the job correctly. This stylish travel bag is unisex and meets carryon travel size regulations. And because it is designed to look like a duffel bag, the travel bag can be unzipped into a rolling garment bag with both seen and hidden compartments that make it perfect for travelers. The locks provided with every order also makes sure that zippers are secured.

R. Nicole gained inspiration for the design of her bag from her past work travels. Before, it proved to be an impossible task to find a carryon that would make packing suits, travel clothes, and gym clothes a piece of cake.

Needless to say, R. Nicole’s decision to leave corporate life was the best decision she could ever have made. In the process of pursuing her dreams to be a fashion designer, R. Nicole was able to provide products that match the exact needs of customers. There was no existing carryon in the market that would accommodate a traveler’s lifestyle, so she designed one. Now, every executive, entrepreneur, weekend traveler, conference attendee, athlete, and entertainer can get their hands on the best bag in the market.
