Jennifer Grooms, BSN, RN, Shows the World What She’s Made of With RekMed

It is far too easy to pin everything down on circumstances. Some wish they were born in a different country or with a different skin tone while others defy nature for not being taller or smarter. The thing is, every single person on this planet probably thinks they are deficient in at least some way.

But whatever deficits people think they have, they should always keep in mind the existence of some great qualities that they can choose to cultivate. In other words, they have a choice. And refusing to be a victim of circumstance, Jennifer Grooms, BSN, RN, made the choice of persisting against all the odds.

Growing up with dyslexia, Jennifer was constantly told that she was not smart enough and that she was not fit for accomplishing anything great. On top of that, she also suffered from occasional anxiety attacks that often disrupted her pace as she made her way through nursing school. The accumulation of harsh blows could have led her to her downfall, but she picked up strength and stood her ground.

Building her character from the pain and backlash she put up with, Jennifer emerged as one of the most exceptional nurses to have walked the halls of multiple hospitals. But before becoming a nurse, she first spent fourteen long years in the Emergency Room and five years as a mental health counselor. For the rest of her years working in the medical field, she worked as a nurse.

After being in the medical field for a considerable time, she decided to shake things up a bit and to venture into a whole different landscape –  entrepreneurship. As a result, she created RekMed, a company geared towards empowering aspiring nurses and other medical professionals.

Having been dealt a bad hand in life, Jennifer knows how hard it can be to keep a fearless spirit in trying times. For this reason, she built RekMed around the pillars of resilience and courage to be a source of inspiration to struggling students as well as hustling professionals in the field of medicine.

As a registered nurse who is always on the go, Jennifer understands how busy and hectic the schedules of health professionals can be. This then gave her the idea of coming up with a product that would make it easier for individuals in the medical field to fulfill their duties. Thus, she came up with RekMed’s first-ever product, which is a planner that aims to break down crazy schedules into more manageable time blocks.

On top of the convenience it offers, the planner also proves to be of educational value since it comes with educational health modules. And for someone who used to have trouble with learning, Jennifer made sure that the modules presented information in such a way that anyone can easily understand it.

Helping thousands of medical students and professionals worldwide with RekMed, Jennifer has proven all her naysayers wrong. Had she chosen to succumb to the negativity that people were feeding her, she would not have taken herself to the summits of success.

Today, people can choose to take the easier route of wallowing in self-pity for not being this and that. But in the same way, they can also choose to take the more difficult path of endurance and dignity. And with her story, Jennifer shows that in life, the hardest choices to make are often the ones that lead to greatness.
