The Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, and artist’s new song is about learning to live without someone you can’t live without and being comfortable with being alone.

“Svnteen is a coming of age anthem about the exhilaration of falling in love and its aftermath,” explains georgiaxx. Metaphorically, the chorus “nicotine at seventeen” refers to the allure for something or someone that isn’t always in your best interest and the process of learning to live without the crutch of “nicotine” and being comfortable with yourself. You get so addicted to the feeling of love that it gets so hard to let go and face the reality once they’re gone.

From a sonic standpoint, Svnteen is an anthemic pop ballad, filled with dreamy electro-pop symphonic swells that tread between groviness and chillness. Each rhythm captivates the listener with its subtle undertones of sadness and emotional vulnerability.

Symbolically, Svnteen is a universal anthem that touches on larger aspects of the human condition such as finding one’s own identity and developing a healthy relationships that cater to that identity, all without becoming dependent on someone or something.

Three months after her debut single was released, georgiaxx  released the official music video for Svnteen…and it will leave you speechless. The artistic visuals and sensual beats are hard to resist, pulling the viewer in with an impactful simplicity that will transport you back to the first time you fell in love .

The video itself was filmed at a warehouse in downtown Los Angeles and directed by Garrett Brockschmitt and Charles Schaefer of One Machine Media. The concept behind the cinematography was to use a bold visual palette to trigger a visceral reaction from the audience.

A shadowed figure silhouetted against a dramatic red hue, cues the opening of the video. As the song progresses a silvery purple and blue atmosphere is tastefully introduced between shots. By the final repetition of the chorus, the video evenly balances between the two juxtaposed scenes.  As the video comes to a close, the vocals are decorated with rich harmonies while the visual continues to maintain an air of tension by never introducing conflicting colors in the same screen at the same time.

The quad-lingual artist received her formal training at NYU, the New School, and the University of Pittsburgh. She speaks Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.

Some venues that she has performed at include Fat Baby, M5 showroom, and Lovecraft bar in NYC, Mr. Smalls Showroom, Tiki Lounge and Club Diesel (now Foxtail)  in Pittsburgh, as well as the The Republic of Pie in Los Angeles.

Her song Svnteen is now available for streaming on Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple.
