Sacramento, November 1, 2019—App-A-Minute, the on-demand hiring platform for the highest turnover industries, today announced appointment of Jonas Muthoni as Chief Technology Officer. Jonas is the founder and CEO of Deviate Agency, a digital marketing and software company based in Los Angeles, CA. Anchored with a new CTO, App-A-Minute will specialize the platform to solving hiring problems faced by the preschool and in-home healthcare industry.

“There are very few solutions specialized in addressing the hiring needs of these two high growth industries. We want to be the number one solution for hiring in these niche industries by providing a first-class experience, with the assistance of our technology,” said CEO, Vijai Bhatti.

App-A-Minute was founded to solve the pain point of hiring for industries with the lowest employee retention rates such as in restaurants, telesales, commercial trucking, preschools, and healthcare. After analyzing App-A-Minute’s customer database, Muthoni and Bhatti, realized that the majority of the 370+ App-A-Minute customers were preschools or in-home care providers. Bhatti believes that a specialized platform can help solve the problem of a 67% turnover rate for the in-home care industry by providing a simple, seamless, end-to-end hiring platform.

As an owner of a preschool, Bhatti first-hand understands the struggles related to hiring in the preschool industry. “When there is a vacancy in my pre-school, we need to fill it as quickly as possible. Our clients—the children and their parents, are depending on attentive care-takers. We need to make sure each applicant has the right certifications, skills, and documentations. Therefore, sourcing the right candidates can take time,” said Bhatti.

According to Bhatti, with App-a-Minute’s specialized design, owners can hire and on-board quickly, as a result, spending less time taking on the role of recruiters and HR associates and more time elevating the experience of their clients.

Bhatti wants to elevate the platform and focus on helping preschools and in-home care facilities hire the best in class talent, while keeping the hiring process seamless and simple for both the employee and employer.
