Ali Wong Became the First Stand Up Comedian to Record a Stand Up Special Seven Months Pregnant

Los Angeles based stand up comedian, writer, and actress, Ali Wong became the first comedian who has recorded a stand up special seven months pregnant. This achievement came for Ali Wong after her recent release ALI WONG: BABY COBRA on Netflix Special.

SF Weekly has already awarded her with “The Best Comedian of 2009” title, and the SF Bay Guardian awarded her with “Best of the Bay” title. In 2010, she was listed by Comedy Central as one of seven “Comics to Watch”.

Recently she has gained a massive amount of popularity for her leading role in the 2019 film “Always Be My Maybe”. She produced and wrote this film with her co-star Randall Park. Ali Wong is currently the main cast member on the ABC television show American Housewife.

She played an important role on Are You There, Chelsea?, Inside Amy Schumer and Black Box. The sitcom, Fresh Off the Boat, has been written by Ali Wong for the first three seasons.

Ali Wong graduated from college at the age of 23 and started to perform stand up comedy at Brainwash Cafe. Further, she moved to New York to conduct professional comedy and performed there up to nine times a night. She came in notice when Variety named her on the “10 Comics to Watch”.

After getting fame due to her excellent comedy, she appeared on The Tonight Show, John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show and Dave Attell’s Comedy Underground Show.
