The developers at DCB world are proclaiming their most recent project “the biggest NFT ever”. Their claims may hold water given that this NFT, designed by internationally renowned artist Romero Britto, simultaneously functions as a ticket allowing collectors to participate in weekly draws to win money prizes, in addition to its value as a collectable piece of digital art. The first of these prize draws has been set at 100 ethereum, equivalent to nearly half a million US dollars. The NFT is being sold on https://dcb.world.
Romero Britto is a Brazilian artist, painter, serigrapher, and sculptor whose unique style has garnered the attention of audiences worldwide. Reminiscent of the stained glass windows of times past, Britto’s whimsical, effervescent pieces draw from a rich pop art tradition to translate his lighthearted approach to life into vibrant visual feasts. His work reflects elements of cubist abstraction with its bold patterns and lines while also maintaining a unique aesthetic that inspires hope, joy, and a sense of childlike freedom in those who have the privilege of experiencing it.
Outside of the studio, Britto is well known for his work in activism and philanthropy. Following the idea that “art is too important not to share”, he founded the Happy Art movement in 1992 with a mission to inspire happiness, fun, love, and optimism around the world through the proliferation of the visual arts.
DCB World has taken Britto’s iconic style and turned it into something entirely new: a collectable NFT that allows collectors to claim their very own Britto digital original, with an additional function as a ‘game ticket’ granting the same collectors an opportunity to use their NFTs to participate in prize games with periodic rewards valued in ethereum.
The DCB World team has also committed themselves to following Britto’s example by allocating a portion of proceeds to several charity organizations around the world.
The nexus of art, prize gaming, and philanthropy introduces to the world of NFTs something the community has never seen. As NFTs continue to take the world by storm, as evidenced by NFT asset sales, which soared past $3.5 billion in the first three quarters of 2021, it stands to reason that DCB World’s latest project will not only see early success, but could also redefine the NFT community as it exists today.
DCB World’s Romero Britto NFTs are now available for purchase at https://dcb.world/ for one ethereum each. NFT owners may also choose to order their pieces in the form of physical, one of a kind canvas prints. Head on over to DCB World’s website to learn more about this project and how you can participate.
