Eco-friendly architectural designs are the wave of the future as tech-savvy and environment-friendly architects provide innovative solutions to every design that will be sustainable long-term. When it comes to eco-friendly designs, Orange Green – an architectural and design firm based in Los Angeles – is fast becoming an industry leader with its groundbreaking and unique designs.
Founded by Jad Fayez Osseiran, who finished his Architecture degree from California State Polytechnic University Pomona, Orange Green is all about combining the most recent architectural design technologies with emerging trends in protecting the environment and promoting clean energy sources. With Osseiran’s extensive background in environmental design, he has the unique ability to incorporate eco-friendly materials that will easily blend with nature.
“Architecture design can be green and eco friendly. Hopefully people can go from knowing nothing regarding green architecture to realizing the numerous scalable benefits of sustainability. Living in a household that is self sufficient, meaning net zero, will save the environment,” shares the Orange Green founder.
Orange Green is proud of its original eco-friendly architectural designs, whether its for residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional projects. The company is best known for its folded concrete planes, a custom cabin concept that easily allows a concrete structure to anchor on a sloping site. The structure design uses a remarkable combination of wood, concrete, and glass, giving it a class and natural feel altogether. The design is uniquely integrated into its surroundings at the same time.
The Folded Concrete Planes design features the kitchen, bedrooms, office, lab, lounge, and laundry room on the first floor. The second floor, on the other hand, consists of public spaces that can easily be accessed by handicapped individuals such as those using wheelchairs. Interestingly, the upper level features an observation deck that emphasizes the scenic forest and mountain views.
Another notable design from Orange Green is its Solar Habitat, which is also a single-family residential design for the Mojave desert. It is approximately 1,200 sq.ft. in size and features a private greenhouse and solar panels that make it the perfect desert getaway.
Additionally, Orange Green also came up with a concept design known as the Dubai Villa, a contemporary design built with strong and thermal materials such as concrete and travertine stone. This particular design features a courtyard layout and thrives on sustainable innovations such as wind, solar, water, and thermal insulation.
In the next few years, Jad Fayez Osseiran sees Orange Green expanding rapidly in the Southern California area, where green living is a rising trend. He also hopes to develop community farms and social parks with interactive energy capturing sculptures that will promote the numerous and long-term benefits of solar and wind energy utilization. Just recently, Orange Green acquired land in the San Bernardino area, specifically in 29 Palms, the Mojave Desert, and Crestline Forest Mountain.
At present, Orange Green has offices based in Beirut, Lebanon, and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, aside from its L.A. office. With a committed focus to their company goals, Jad Fayez Osseiran is expected to bring Orange Green to the next level by introducing his brand of unique designs in other world regions.
