Independent artists are on the rise with changes in the industry allowing for independent parties to thrive. One of these artists is Jeremy Williams, better known as his stage name Scrillz. Partnered with Big Smokey Productions, Scrillz is starting to make a wave.
The San Jose, California native first started making music at a young age. Growing up in a large Samoan family, he saw his older brother and cousin play around with music. Mimicking their efforts, Scrillz started making his own music and fell in love with it.
Scrillz takes inspiration from old school artists from various genres, and likes to incorporate different elements into his music. While most of his current work is hip-hop based, Scrillz is working on a single with reggae artist Fiji, and is working currently on a project that contains a variety of island music and good vibes. Scrillz says he is constantly working on his craft, and has proven himself worthy of collaborating with large independent label Big Smokey Productions. Scrillz will definitely be an artist to watch in the future.
