We only live once, hence why people hustle to make the most of their time.

Human beings are often steered in a particular direction and taught to choose one path. The idea that people can excel in just one field limits their ability to do much more with their lives. Most people are born with not just one but a multitude of skill sets that require time, effort, and confidence to refine.

Breaking the norms and excelling in more than just one field is something that Faisal Saigol – the exceptionally talented entrepreneur, bright academic, and avid traveler – has done. Faisal has been audacious and courageous with his career choices, proving that even in a specialized world, you can do anything you set your mind to.

AN ACADEMICALLY LEARNED INDIVIDUAL

From a young age, Faisal was blessed with a very sharp mind that helped him ace his way into reading Law as an undergraduate at Cambridge University.

At his Cambridge entrance interview, in a grand room overlooking the 15th Century Jesus College, the interviewing don randomly picked Karl Marx as a tough field to question the 17-year-old Faisal. The don asked Faisal a complex, multi-layered question to pile on the pressure. However, Faisal, with characteristic aplomb, eloquently answered with a highly perceptive interpretation of Marx’s key definitions that allowed Faisal to take a hammer to the question rather than chisel away at it. The don was so impressed with Faisal’s innovative answer that Faisal was made his Cambridge offer (after which Faisal went on to secure the highest possible grades in his A-levels and Cambridge STEP papers).

In his late 20s, Saigol acquired his MBA from Harvard Business School, adding to his stellar academic background.

EXCELLING IN MULTIPLE VENTURES

Faisal always kept moving forward with the will to make an impression and think differently. Today, the serial entrepreneur has more than $1BN of deal-making and company-building expertise. Faisal worked relentlessly, and this bore fruit as Saigol DDC created buildings in London’s finest addresses, including Mayfair, Belgravia, Knightsbridge, and St James’ Park. The firm crafted properties near the famous Regent’s Park and Parliament fused with palatial grandeur and with extraordinary amenities such as saunas, porterage, 3D cinemas, and billiards rooms. The company also displayed Warhols, Picassos, Hirsts, and Bacons as art. As of today, the company has been involved in deal-making, including hotel portfolios, logistic facilities, office buildings, and student accommodation portfolios, by taking advantage of market mispricings.

Faisal Saigol has now also started an educational venture. SaigolEd is an EdTech platform that ensures the best education is opened up to millions of kids around the world. Saigol believes that too many children have gone far too long without the highest quality education. The platform focuses on providing blue-chip education from the comfort of students’ homes to anyone anywhere.

FINDING TIME TO RELIEVE STRESS

Faisal encourages everyone to take some adventure time for themselves. He believes that schedules are tough and that people should indulge in stress-relieving activities that expand the mind. Saigol himself has traveled to almost 50 countries. He has a strong love for world history, skiing, tennis, and boxing. He has hitch-hiked on container ships, sky-dived in Florida, researched red leaf monkeys in the rainforest of Borneo, and motorcycled across Thailand.

Faisal is an example of how people can excel in different fields while having fun as well!
