After graduation, Aharoni began to make a name for himself, and his work began to garner attention from major brands. In 2016, he released his first short film, Bardo. The film was a success that helped put them on the map as a director to watch.

Bardo, the film by Aharoni, signed a three-year distribution deal with Shorts TV. In addition, his second short director, The Untimely Gift, was a finalist at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and the Bermuda International Film Festival. These are both Academy Award-qualifying film festivals.

“Green, The Criminals, and Leylak. Aharoni has created a body of work that is delightful to watch and offers a fresh perspective on the world around us. We are excited to see what he does next.”

The film employs genre to highlight how a repressive society forces its citizens to police one other, ultimately turning sex into a rebellious act. It has been shortlisted in the live-action short category for the 2022 awards.

Aharoni worked closely with the team to land the film on the shortlist for the Academy Awards.

After the success of their short films, Scott Aharoni, Mustafa Kaymak, and Sinan Eczacibasi founded their own production company, Cinegryphon Entertainment. Their first feature film, “Green,” is a crime drama based on the Sundance-winning short film.  Scott Aharoni, Mustafa Kaymak, and Sinan Eczacibasi are excited to bring their unique vision to this project.
