With so many online meal services emerging lately, how can a consumer find one that is best?

What if you have certain dietary restrictions, will they accommodate you?

These are the questions many consumers are asking before they choose an online meal service. It is difficult to tell which one is best, as they all seem to be the same. OmeCare is a San Diego based genetic testing company, and it offers a unique approach to online meal services.

OmeCare has a patented test called OmeNutrition, where they tailor a meal plan based on the genetic predisposition of a consumer.

The bedrock of their service is that before creating a meal plan, they do a DNA test on a consumer- determining the genetic predisposition of the consumer to create a personalized diet. They are vastly different from their competition, analyzing genetic markers of the consumer to find out what foods are best for their health and wellness, as well as what foods must be avoided to prevent adverse effects.

OmeNutrition takes a deep look into what genetic markers cause certain eating behaviors, such as overeating, or having an insatiable craving for sugar. The test can also tell a consumer what foods they are allergic to, and the effect on their body from commonly used substances like alcohol or caffeine. This creates the optimal diet for a consumer, all scientifically backed by clinical trials, and medical literature.

For example, some consumers may have a genetic predisposition that makes them lactose intolerant. Lactose is often found in dairy products, and contains essential nutrients like calcium. The test is able to ascertain which genetic markers create sensitivity to lactose, and then tells the consumer how to find viable substitute foods that are rich in calcium. This is done to make sure the consumer avoids having risky side effects, as well as helping the consumer supplement their diet with foods that don’t contain lactose. The test gives the consumer a suggested list of foods that contain calcium, ensuring they get this essential nutrient while avoiding anything dairy related.

OmeNutrition can also help people who have one of many diseases associated with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. IBD is often caused by excessive inflammation, and gluten is a key contributor to inflammation. Various diseases under the IBD umbrella cause difficulty digesting and absorbing nutrients, so OmeNutrition will give the consumer a list of foods that will help solve this problem. OmeNutrition will provide a list of foods that can be tolerated by the stomach, and help the consumer process foods without any pain, while getting the essential nutrients they require.

Some consumers may not know they have adverse effects from gluten, perhaps even an IBD issue. OmeNutrition will help identify the disease or allergy, and tailor a personalized meal plan of utmost benefit to the consumer.

Altogether, OmeCare is taking online meal services to an unprecedented level, using their proprietary DNA sequencing machines to identify genetic markers. The personalized meal plan is unique to the consumer and his/her body. How how many online meal service companies can say that?
