Brien Allen Follows His Heart, Discovering His Passion for Music Deep Within

While most people often have a solitary path that they want to follow, Brien Allen found his calling a little later in life. Born to a musically inclined mother and a father who is a man of science, Brien wanted nothing more than to make both of his parents proud. His mother was a musician and an artist, while his father was a self-employed geophysicist. At the onset, Brien followed in his father’s footsteps, exploring the possibilities of petroleum engineering as a prospective career.

As the years went by, Brien Allen soon realized that the path that he had chosen for himself seemed to feel different from what he actually wanted. Despite his love for science, his passion for music would always come blazing through. So he decided to finish his degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, but once he graduated, he decided to pursue a career in music.

In 2014, Brien Allen decided to tag along with a local rock band as they toured all over the country. He invested thousands into this project, yet he got absolutely nothing in return. He felt downtrodden and realized that his dreams were slipping away from his fingers. His first big break didn’t turn out to be what he expected, but Brien persevered and let his passion for music carry him through the most difficult challenges.

He vowed never to repeat the same mistakes ever again and began rebranding himself. Eventually, Brien Allen became a part of the best bands in the world, becoming a lead guitarist rather than a petroleum engineer, which he had originally planned on becoming. Nowadays, he is part of three amazing musical groups that are taking the music industry by storm.

Brien Allen is involved with the progressive metal band Altermind from Austin. The band is slated to release a brand-new album in 2021, along with a single featuring the lead vocalist of Red Handed Denial and CrazyEightyEight, Lauren Babic. Brien is also a part of two groups that are under the guidance and tutelage of Charlie Walk through a program known as Music Mastery.

The groups in question are Al Cielo, a Latin/pop-rock group with members scattered all around the United States, and Bridges Ablaze, a duo that Brien Allen and his closest friend created. Al Cielo is set to release a couple of new songs in 2021 as they plan on seamlessly blending electronic pop with Latin music and rock.

Bridges Ablaze is a different musical outlet for Brien Allen as he lends his vocal talents as well as his lead guitarist expertise to the band. Both band members sing and play lead guitars, creating a distinct sound of music that has never been heard of before in the music industry.

Brien Allen is slated to release two albums in 2021, making it his busiest year in music yet. He plans on also releasing albums from some of his older heavy metal projects Arborenna and Perpetual Horizon soon next year, so fans of his brand of metal music should be on the lookout.

Brien Allen is a testament to the fact that it’s never too late to realize one’s dreams. From his drastic pivot coming from a world of science to the music scene, he wants his story to serve as an inspiration to those that are unhappy with where they are to finally pursue what they’ve always wanted to do. All it takes is one leap of faith.
