Mamask on Its Efforts to Protect Employees and Loved Ones

The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted the world to take drastic measures that would address the economic upheaval and health crisis. But while these trying times have caused a series of misfortunes, they have also compelled the human race to bounce back and break through barriers. And among those who have taken extraordinary steps to move forward are Jee Kim and Jae Kim, the co-founders of Mamask.

Despite its detrimental effects and unthinkable consequences, the pandemic has pushed people to go out of their way and bring back the sense of community. The global crisis, being a rude awakening, made everyone realize what life is really about—compassion. And heavily inspired by the need to help others and contribute to society, Jee & Jae Kim created Mamask.

Jee Kim is one of the founders of Mamask, a company based in the US that specializes in selling comfortable and reusable masks. Two decades ago, her father bought a manufacturing facility in Seoul. At that time, Jee’s old man had no clue about running a factory. But after years of hard work and dedication, everything fell into place.

The said factory is no other than The Beautiful People Co., LTD—the parent company of Mamask. It has been making suits, jackets, and coats for some of Korea’s top brands for twenty years. As a matter of fact, almost all of the men’s section in Korea’s major retailers carry brands that have been produced by the company.

The family-owned business strives to provide a safe and nurturing work environment for people from different walks of life. Close to half of the business’ employees have a disability of some sort. It believes that opportunities should be made available to everyone, regardless of who they are and where they are from.

Because of the pandemic, The Beautiful People Co., LTD  began making cotton masks to protect its employees. As a result, the company was requested by the government to produce protective face masks. Geared towards hard-hit neighborhoods and towns with limited resources, Jee & Jae joined forces with their father to launch Mamask.

Today, Mamask is selling masks to customers from the United States, Germany, South Korea. The company is even listed on The Strategist and Walmart’s e-commerce platform.

Built around the pillars of altruism and driven by public spirit, Mamask has sparked a revolution. Through its philanthropic efforts, the company has inspired individuals and other entities to rise to the occasion and uplift one another. By taking the initiative, it has proven that life is made more meaningful when dedicated to a greater cause.

With everything that it stands for, Mamask has become a beacon of strength and selflessness. The company has shown that greatness stems from well-meaning actions and genuine intentions. Emboldened by its mission, it reminds people from all over the world that together, they are stronger than any pandemic.

The global crisis might have caused some momentary discouragements. But at the end of the day, no adversity can break humankind’s tenacious spirits and unwavering resilience. This powerful message is what Mamask wishes to share with the world.
