By the age of eleven, GG Loafy started making music. At such a young age, he began to sculpt his sound and gain traction as an artist. As a kid, he used to watch his older brother rap in the hood. He now uses that as inspiration for his tracks and uses it as motivation to put his music onto a platform for growth and help him and his family out of the tough times they’ve faced.
Throughout his childhood, he, his brothers, and his mother have all had to fight to survive and make it by any means. GG Loafy is a huge family man and has always shared a strong connection to his family. For himself, music came as a vice to release some stress and anxiety from the world around him. He claims that we aren’t different from each other and uses his music to share the world from his point of view and offer a sense of hope to those who have tough times as well. Though we all can get lost in our challenging times, Loafy’s music shares a standard message that we are all in life together and better days are to come. Being hopeful and working hard has granted GG Loafy the chance to share his craft with the world and build his musical career towards something great.
