Growing up in remote Alaska, Jess passed through many life challenges, including; sexual, physical, and emotional abuse and health issues. However, her childhood had taught her never to quit or stop hoping for a better life. Despite the life struggles, art and tinkering have always been part of her life, while creating was part of her soul.
Things began changing when she met with TotalBoat. She became a TotalBoat ambassador for all of 2019 and was booked every month traveling the nation from West to East Coast speaking and teaching. During these conversations, MakerPoxy was born, a type of epoxy designed with artists and builders in mind. MakerPoxy grew from a local brand to a global brand in almost everyone’s household. Today, Jess Crow is the founder and owner of Crow Creek Designs, a woman-owned and run woodworking shop located in Alaska. She has established herself as the leading authority in artistic woodworking and epoxy. Her style is easily recognized for pushing woodworking and artistic boundaries with epoxy, color, and other elements such as hand-painted fish.

One of Jess’s successes was working towards a large shop that will help teach the trades to at-risk-youth and victims of abuse. Jess has made a big name for herself by being a source of inspiration and willing to share her failures and the different ways life struggles can be overcome.
