Innovating Social Media, ReelTalk is the App For The Next Generation

Social media has become overly contrived. There is so much noise in the hashtag driven world of social media these days, which makes it difficult to find lasting and meaningful connections. Voices have become muddled, and ideas have become watered down. Social media in this current age has devolved into a form of popcorn entertainment.

Tiktok is great for video. Twitter is great for current events and telling people about your life through text. Facebook is great for connecting with friends around the world. Reddit is great for lots of threads of any questions. Linkedin is great for getting connected with businesses. Whatsapp is great for sending messages to people around the world.

The social media sphere is lacking a very important space–something that drives communities and empowers what we like to call “Movements.” ReelTalk is the perfect app for creating movements for users to follow and post. ReelTalk creates a platform to merge like-minded individuals from the political spectrum.

Superficial social media sites often alienate users. However, ReelTalk acknowledges that every opinion holds opposition. This app is a platform that unites validation with controversy. ReelTalk turns trends into movements by connecting people who share the same beliefs. ReelTalk defies the ways in which other platforms tend to push users apart.

Within ReelTalk, an individual’s identity is not formed by their vacation photos from Hawaii, but by their opinions and beliefs. ReelTalk aims to show people that we are bound by a common thread. The two founders of ReelTalk, Matt Jangaard, and Ryan Watson, started the app in 2019 with the hopes of having a platform that fosters meaningful connections.

From sports teams to brands, movements cater to different communities that create diversity within the app. Users can join movements that interest and engage them in conversations with like-minded people. They can then discuss various ideas that pique their interest in their common movement.

The significance of ReelTalk in this modern day is understated. Social media needs a new face, and it needs to innovate into space where people can establish meaningful connections with others–something that much of social media lacks. ReelTalk is here to innovate social media for the next generation, pushing the boundaries of the digital space to create long-lasting connections with like-minded people. ReelTalk is about beliefs, ideas, and communities. It’s about empowering communities to grow as one. It’s about creating movements that will change the world.
