Dr. Jonathan Kung MD is not your typical gastroenterologist. He is also an entrepreneur and health enthusiast who cares about helping people find happiness and balance in their lives. He does this by sharing his knowledge with people in-person and on
social media.

Achieving Happiness

Jonathan believes that happiness and balance can be achieved when you combine people, health, fashion, fitness, and social networking together in your life. He has the unique opportunity to work as a doctor and to communicate with people that he would never have met before if it weren’t for social media. Not only has he helped people change their views on life, but they have helped him change his own views as well.

Jonathan chose to become a doctor because he believes that health and wellness are the most valuable things in life. No one can focus on their life goals if they don’t have strong health and wellness. Jonathan has already treated thousands of patients from different age groups. Some of them already had poor health, and others had mild symptoms. It gave him a new perspective on the importance of his own life goals and how time cannot be wasted.

Invest in Yourself

“An investment in your own personal care is one of the best investments you could ever make,” said Jonathan. “I encourage all my friends and patients to take some time to focus on making themselves healthier.”

Jonathan believes that self-improvement doesn’t only have to be about exercising and eating better foods. Personal health could also come in the form of education and learning something new that can help you make your life better. Just find something that you’re interested in and learn more about it. The important thing is to set personal goals for yourself and then do whatever is necessary to achieve them.

Practice What You Preach

Jonathan already practices what he preaches. Aside from treating patients, he also studies fashion innovation, and is an avid athlete in boxing, soccer, basketball, and general fitness. His parents are his biggest inspiration because they always encouraged him to seize every new opportunity and to follow his dreams too.

“My parents worked hard so they could give me more opportunities in life than they had,” Jonathan said. “My mother was a piano player for a ballet, and my father was a doorman for many years. They eventually started their own successful businesses, but it took them years of struggling before they got there. I’m fortunate that I had parents who gave me support while I finished school and discovered new activities to pursue.”

Lead the Life That Makes You Happy

Jonathan travels the world as a motivational speaker, fitness enthusiast, fashion enthusiast, and doctor. Some of the events he attends are New York Fashion Week, Sapporo Snow Festival in Japan, and medical missions in the Caribbean and Central America. When he’s in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City, he loves to visit the gyms there and train as a boxer.

“You must lead the kind of life that makes you happy,” said Johnathan. “Just make sure you surround yourself with positive people who encourage you to pursue your dreams.”
