Entrepreneurs go through so many hardships to achieve their dreams. These 15 extraordinary individuals did so, too. They faced setbacks, took risks, and created something meaningful for others. Each one built communities and platforms that show people it is possible to dream bigger and achieve more.

These visionaries are changing how we see success. They prove that empowerment does not come from having all the answers. It comes from daring to start. Each journey started from inspiration and carried into purpose. All these individuals believe in impact. These are the dreamers who took action and, in doing so, made room for others to do the same.

1. Oprah Winfrey

3. Dr. Sarah Sun Liew

5. Christina DiArcangelo

Christina DiArcangelo has more than twenty years in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and clinical research. 10. Dr. Michael Copeland

Dr. Michael Copeland was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. His father is a retired attorney and council member, and his mother worked as a corporate executive. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Central State University, Michael began his teaching career in Nashville. He wanted to create classrooms where every child could thrive. Most recently, Dr. Michael Copeland received the 2025 Author of the Year award in Hollywood, CA on October 4th. 11. Tendai Rukwava

Tendai Rukwava is the Founder and CEO of The Coral Group International. She was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, and grew up watching her parents build successful careers. Her father worked as an executive at Coca-Cola Southern Africa, and her mother built successful businesses in beauty, retail, and agriculture. Her personal mantra is: “Who Dares, Wins.” Tendai joined the Junior Achievement Programme in high school, where she discovered her passion for business. Later, modeling and participating in international pageants gave her the confidence and exposure she needed to step into leadership.

In 2015, she founded Coral Communications, a public relations and marketing agency. Today, The Coral Group International includes a Sports Sponsorships and Partnerships division, a Printing, Gifting, and Branding division, and a media branch that will launch soon. Her success is built on resilience and faith. She has faced challenges with strength and continues to give back through Entrepreneurs Anonymous, a platform she co-founded to mentor and support business owners. 12. Lori J. Thompson

Lori J. Thompson is an author and preschool teacher who believes that life’s sweetest stories come from simple moments. For her, it all began with a squirrel on a windowsill and the laughter of her grandchildren.
