The Whale’s Tale Just Dropped Anchor in the Hamptons and Locals Are Loving It

There’s a new culinary hotspot on the East End, and it’s already drawing a steady stream of beachgoers, weekenders, and in-the-know locals. The Whale’s Tale, the Northport favorite known for its vibrant seafood, laid-back energy, and coastal cool, has officially opened its Hamptons outpost. And it’s shaping up to be the go-to hangout of the season.

The concept comes from veteran restaurateur Sosh Andriano, who brings decades of hospitality experience and a deep understanding of what makes a dining destination click. Partnering with reality TV personality Brian Autz, the pair have created a space that balances comfort with creativity, ideal for everything from casual lunches to after-dinner drinks under the stars.

The venue includes a polished indoor dining room, a sun-drenched outdoor deck, and a beachside shack offering up grab-and-go favorites like soft-serve ice cream and local craft beer. The menu is bold, fresh, and meant to be shared. You’ll find juicy lobster rolls, colorful acai bowls, grilled fish tacos, oysters on the half shell, and the return of the beloved Taco Tuesdays.

But what really sets The Whale’s Tale apart is the vibe. With firepits, cornhole, upbeat music, and a come-as-you-are spirit, it captures the essence of summer without trying too hard. It’s the type of place where brunch turns into happy hour and where every visit feels like a mini vacation.
