Sal said candidly, “If the birthday boy or girl is taking a whack at their birthday cake with their bare hands, that’s something I would want to capture, especially their expressions. It gives a whole new meaning to that moment because even if they don’t remember, their parents will, creating a story for them to share with them when they are older. Not just them but even the members of their family that will be reacting to their actions. That’s the beauty of still photography; to capture that one moment.”
