Blaze Lloyd’s journey from doing eyelash extensions as a 16-year-old high school student in her parent’s spare bedroom to a global business with nearly $1 million in sales is nothing short of, well, miraculous!

The now 21-year-old Canadian is the founder and CEO of Lashiivo Inc., which provides a wide range of eyelash extension products and training to 15,000+ eyelash artists in over 40 countries around the globe.

Lloyd’s tale is a testament to the fact that success can happen at any age. Lloyd’s inspiring narrative demonstrates, passion and determination can triumph over age and expertise, and the youthful entrepreneur is now seen among the more experienced experts in the industry.

“I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined Lashiivo turning into what it is today. I started lashing as a side-hustle in high school so that I could quit my cashier job and have some extra cash while making woman feel more confident. Three years later, I have a salon with some of the most talented lash artists in all of Canada and a product line that has touched the hands of thousands of lash artists around the globe. I still pinch myself when I see hundreds of orders pouring in and everyone raving about their love for our products and what I’ve created. It makes me want to work a million times harder to continue to provide the best of the best for our valued customers who have trusted in Lashiivo since day one.”

The female-led firm plans to expand this year into the United States, opening a warehouse facility which will allow Lashiivo products and courses to be more easily accessible for customers.

When asked about what led Lloyd to this major level of success she responded with one word “hard work”. Later, revealing that on average she works nearly 60 hours per week and on busier weeks it can be upwards of 80 hours. Lloyd said the companies success has come as a result of her unwillingness to give up, a great team and her unique understanding of what a lash artist needs to be successful.
