Paige Restivo is the founder and CEO of Shop Paige NY, a custom jewelry store that offers beautifully designed pieces for both men and women. Since launching just three years ago, the brand has garnered customers from around the world. Now boasting a beautiful storefront in the heart of New York, Restivo is looking to grow her empire and share her passion with more people around the world.
Not too many years ago, Paige Restivo was still searching for her passion. Graduating from LIM College with a bachelor’s degree in business management. The years that followed were full of various jobs and experience. She worked everything from retail with designer brands to selling real estate and medical devices. Although she made a good living by the end, she always felt that she was missing something. “I was always good at sales, but I was never satisfied with what I was doing.” She decided to start a small business on the side. Dabbling in resale of different items on the internet, she realized she was on to something. Settling on her passion, jewelry, she decided she would put all of her spare time into building something that she could call her own. Her hard work dedication paid off. After just one year of building, she had to make a change. “I was still working as the territory manager in medical sales, but I couldn’t keep up. Shop Paige was taking all of my time and attention.” She then quit her steady job to focus on Shop Paige full time, the year that followed has been marked with incredible growth.
In just three years since launch, she has gone from her first sale to multi-millions in sales. Social media was a huge part of her success. “[I was] posting constantly, messaging influencers and customers, giving away thousands of dollars of jewelry for free – just to get the brand out.” Her persistence paid off, she even managed to land an opportunity with musician and beauty mogul, Becky G. Although she appreciates the support of stars like Becky G and others, she realizes that she owes the rapid growth of her brand to the support of her customers. “I always post my customers, put a thank you note and share discount codes with them.” This and other ways of what she calls “honoring” her clients are what she believes drives her success.
Although she has seen amazing growth in a short time, she admits that it wasn’t always a smooth ride. Whether it was slow sales, an issue with a supplier, or a more recent issue of hacked social accounts, she had to find ways to persevere. “Believe in yourself. There were so many times that it was hard, but I did it.”
Currently, her business offers over three hundred unique jewelry pieces and delivers to customers, both in the US and internationally. While she has built a million dollar business, she is not motivated by dollars. “I am living my dream. I create and design jewelry that I get to share with the world.” Not one to take off much time from the office, Restivo enjoys traveling, studying jewelry, and finding new ways to push her business forward.
