Every person has the right to live a healthy and disease-free life. Lifestyle management encompasses a wide range of topics, including health promotion, behavioral health, lifestyle enhancement, and many more. It is an essential part of everyone’s life. However, disparities in a variety of health indicators have been well established between the general population and certain ethnic and cultural minority groups. Some research suggests that certain groups may be subjected to lower standards of treatment as a result of health professionals’ biased views or attitudes. This is why Dr. Davetta Hammond founded an organization named ‘Tria lifestyle coaching’ dedicated to advancing adequate health care for minorities.

Dr. Davetta Hammond has 26 years of experience working in multi-specialty provider groups and health plans, with an emphasis on heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Her primary focus over the last ten years has been in providing patient education and training to ensure correct clinical reflection of entire patient care as well as chronic disease prevention, adherence, and management. Her company’s aims to enhance minorities’ health outcomes by providing them with the tools they need to navigate the healthcare system and to close the gap where there are health inequities in order to improve minorities’ healthcare experiences.

When asked about her credentials and accomplishments, she said, “I hold a Masters in Christian Leadership and a Doctor of Philosophy Humane Letters degree from Trinity International University of Ambassadors, through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, I am also a Certified Energy Leadership IndexTM Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) (IPEC). I hold the Academy of Professional Coders’ certificate as a Certified Professional Coder and also have a University of Phoenix Specialization in Project Management.”

Dr. Davetta Hammond is revolutionizing the health sector by delivering subject matter expertise to her clients in the areas of medical documentation, coding operations, provider education, and overall patient care coaching.
