The sound of the film reel unveiling this September is calling the attention of movie enthusiasts, patrons of the arts, critics, and idle viewers worldwide. Packed with a roster of talents breathing life into a well-written script, the highly acclaimed Ethos Performance Troupe is currently in production for the upcoming hit film “Plagues Within Plagues: a Ballet Electronica.”

A perfect cap to a year under lockdown, the under-development piece has roused excitement within the art community and the troupe’s loyal following.

Established in 1995, the Ethos Performance Troupe is regarded as one of the best in the industry – withstanding the test of time and consistently releasing ingenious productions year after year. With each masterpiece, the multi-faceted group has been known to stage alternative science fiction, fantasy operas, and performance installations in Austin, Texas.

Among their greatest and crowd-favorite works are “Pythia Dust,” “Vampyress,” “The Dragonfly Princess,” “Atlantis; a Puppet Opera,” and the film “Octia of the Pink Ocean.” This year, under the leadership of award-winning thespian and renowned creative Chad Salvata, the beloved troupe adds a new piece to their extensive portfolio.

“Ethos creates all original work of unique spectacle and vision,” Chad shares. “Our productions are provocative and bold while achieving excellence in musicality and design.”

True to its stellar reputation, Ethos Performance Troupe can mount and animate any story, allowing them to connect to a diverse range of audiences. Some of the group’s projects cater to adults, and others appeal to individuals of all ages.

“Ethos audiences have been diverse in interests and ages. Different productions attract different theatre patrons. All seem to be enraptured by the spectacle we provide.” From the production team’s string of theatrical and cinematic hits, as well as its brilliant cast and crew, it is not difficult to see why.

Despite offering a wide selection for viewers, three things have been remarked as the performance troupe’s signature – originality, boldness, and insight. Traversing into unexplored themes and fearlessly blending numerous genres and artistic eras to birth an unprecedented, magnificent visual, the Ethos Performance Troupe’s work is easily recognizable, top-notch, and distinctive.

After all, seeing the avant-garde and traditional harmoniously coexist as it does in the impactful troupe’s stages is not an everyday sight – even for the most well-versed thespians.

On his inspiration for their unmatched vision and realization through seamless execution and artistry, Chad Salvata shares, “twenty years ago, I was possessed with the desire to combine the magic of the mythological with the power of the electronic to manifest a new hybrid for the stage. This mysterious force guides me to this day.”

Under this powerful guidance, Chad perfects each frame of Ethos Performance Troupe’s upcoming film. “Plagues Within Plagues: a Ballet Electronica” is scheduled for broadcast this September and will headline the expert team’s breathtaking productions of the new decade.

Ethos Performance Troupe is also preparing to remount the reimagined production of their lyrical fantasy opera “The Dragonfly Princess.” The famous masterpiece will be staged at the VORTEX Theatre in Austin, Texas, this 2023 – recalling the team’s musical prowess and visualizing their extensive Spotify and SoundCloud song library.

Book a front seat to “Plagues Within Plagues: a Ballet Electronica” this September. Learn more about the Ethos Performance Troupe and stay updated on their future ventures on Facebook. Listen to their soul-stirring songs on SoundCloud and Spotify.
