Fashion evolves with the times. But some pieces become so iconic that they remain celebrated throughout generations. When Original Goose Country, a luxury outerwear brand, decided to reintroduce an iconic V-bomber 80s jacket in 2018, it quickly captivated the fashion and entertainment industries. Today, the brand is known for reviving fashion favourites from past decades and merging them with today’s modern taste.

With its staple iconic chevron V-bomber style jacket launched in their 2018 fall and winter collection, Original Goose Country set the standards higher for the outerwear market and dominated the field. Furthermore, by producing garments with perfection and limited quantities, anyone who wears the brand feels unique and distinct from others, giving them the authority to proclaim their unique style to the world.

Original Goose Country is a premium outerwear brand founded by Harsimran Bhatia. With her long-standing record in the fashion industry, along with her husband and children, Harsirman is strategic when it comes to establishing a brand from the ground up. The founders were vital contributors to the ’80s to ’90s leather fashion scene, recognized as the leading manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers in New York City at various buzzing locations such as Delancey Street, Orchard Street, and the West Village.

Harsimran Bhatia and her husband were both immigrants from India. To make a living in the United States, they opened a small retail store which eventually expanded into an establishment that distributed clothing and jewelry. Riding the craze for leather garments, the couple took a risk and ventured into the market. After a few years, they became one of the largest independent leather garment manufacturers on the East Coast, selling their products in department stores nationwide and amassing over $20 million annual sales.

Unfortunately, following her husband’s stroke and a couple of disagreements with business partners, their business collapsed, and Harsimran had to start from scratch. With two small children to raise, the entrepreneur persevered to reach success. In six years, Harmirman built the business again and distributed products in over 18 locations. After their second chance in the industry, the family had to face another challenge because of the economic downturn of 2008. The circumstances caused her husband to suffer another stroke.

Despite the failures, Harsimran remained optimistic. In 2018, she decided to give it another go, this time with her sons, who handle Original Goose Country’s marketing aspects. With her son Deep Bhatia and his friend Rico Hundo, the brand was amplified through some of the most prominent personalities in the entertainment industry today. The luxury outerwear has been worn by Fabulous, Tory Lanez, Snoop Dogg, Casanova, G Herbo, Emily B, Rowdy Rebel, and Bernice Burgos.

Boxer Adrien Broner and MMA Fighter Adam Maverick have also been seen wearing the iconic brand. Additionally, the brand sponsored the fight between the boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner, with the latter wearing the brand’s shorts.

Besides influencing the world through prominent personalities, Original Goose Country is continually making a difference by giving back to the community through numerous food drives and outreaches. Together with Bernice Burgos and Lil Uzi, the brand gave away school supplies and hosted a basketball tournament for the youth. Also, Original Goose Country spearheaded a campaign to feed the homeless and provide free hoodies in Las Vegas with Adrien Broner.

In five years, Original Goose Country aims to occupy a large chunk of the outerwear market. “We plan to increase our online business, awareness, sales, and customer satisfaction. We are still in a very early stage as there is a lot more to accomplish. While the pandemic has taken effect on our business like everyone else, we are still optimistic about opening new retail locations and expanding our product lines,” said Harsimran Bhatia. “Already in 2020, we have almost doubled our revenues for the year, and with careful planning and ingenuity, we plan to increase our sales to over 10 million mark,” she added.
