Tyrone has experienced racism throughout his life because of the color of his skin. He is also a victim of a hate crime that happened around 2006. One day, on his way to work, a group of men attacked and beat him up to a pulp in broad daylight because they assumed he was gay. When the cops finally made it to the scene, Tyrone made a mission moving forward in his life that he will not tolerate any type of hate.
“My body was in so much pain on the day of the attack and I just couldn’t believe that this type of hate still exists, but the reality is the fact it still does,” said Tyrone.
Standing as the esteemed host of CALL TYRONE!!!, Tyrone has molded his brainchild into a repertoire of cold hard facts and a provider of insights that listeners can grasp to live their best lives. In addition, the podcast has connected people worldwide with those who are making an effort to fill the voids and bridge the gaps in society and culture.
On top of random things that unexpectedly come to his mind, Tyrone talks about his day-to-day life in Los Angeles. Offering his perspective on a wide range of topics and his inputs on today’s prevailing controversies, he declares that the purpose of the CALL TYRONE!!! podcast is for more and more individuals to hear voices from people of color and the LGTBTQA+ community.
In an interview, Tyrone was asked about what led him to the creation of the CALL TYRONE!!! podcast. “What motivated me to build this podcast is allowing myself to be more transparent with things that are happening in the world and relaying them from my point of view. I just wanted to share it in a streaming digital form,” he shared. “We all yearn for communication with one another,” the visionary added.
Aside from catering to those in the LGBTQA+ community, Tyrone explained that CALL TYRONE!!! is also for those merely looking to be entertained and informed about others’ personal views regarding ongoing matters and affairs.
In the coming years, Tyrone envisions CALL TYRONE!!! evolving into a TV Show or a book. He wants to continue sending across the message that every voice matters, including those of people of color and the LGBTQA+ community.
