Alexa Carlin is the embodiment of true women empowerment. As the Founder & CEO of Women Empower X, she’s dedicated her life’s work to helping women develop their businesses and empowering them to be the strongest versions of themselves they can be.

At the age of 17, most of us are finishing up grade school and submitting our college applications. While Alexa was part of this cohort, she was also running her own small business making jewelry for an LA-based fashion company! That’s not where her entrepreneurial streak stopped. While in college, she started a female empowerment blog, Hello Perfect, and built a community around being perfect by being imperfect.

Unfortunately, just a few months before graduating, tragedy struck. Alexa went into septic shock in January 2013 and was given a 1% chance of survival. However, with great resiliency and strength, she fought against her ailments and recovered after spending 10 days in the ICU.

The road to recovery wasn’t smooth. Because of all the antibiotics Alexa was given during her medically-induced coma, she developed an autoimmune disease that she still struggles with to this day. Furthermore, the trauma of her experience took a severe toll on her mental health. However, Alexa is a fighter and over time confronted her fears one step at a time. Her struggle from a 1% chance of living to a thriving entrepreneur shows us all how one can achieve their wildest dreams if they only put their mind to it.

In the midst of her road to recovery, Alexa was able to graduate college on time! For a while, she worked on developing her blog, Hello Perfect, but eventually retired the blog to explore other avenues of getting her message of female empowerment out to more people than she’d ever been able to before.

This is when she started her public speaking career! Now a renowned public speaker, Alexa took this tragedy that happened in her life and turned it into a story that has inspired THOUSANDS across the globe. Her path in public speaking wasn’t easy as it was hard to simply have someone give her a chance. Instead of lying down and taking these hardships, she started to be the change she wanted to see in the industry.

Enter Women Empower X! Alexa started Women Empower X to bring female entrepreneurs the empowerment and knowledge they needed to grow their businesses with a community that was there to support them 100% of the way. First focusing on in-person events, Alexa has hosted WEX across the U.S. and has garnered over 2,500 people at these individual events for 5 years!

When talking about the current state of her business, Alexa says, “Today we have grown to offer more support to our community by launching the Inner Circle membership, which works with our members via coaching and trainings to take their brand to the next level.” This new offering allows Alexa’s impact to grow exponentially by reaching female entrepreneurs across the globe! Alexa Carlin and Women Empower X will be globally recognized names as Alexa uses her pure determination and focuses on the goal she’s dedicated her life’s work to: helping at least one person every day.
