Reading Time: 3 mins read

SBF is inspired by a brotherhood and our different types of sounds. We’re inspired by groups like YSL, OTF and The Migos. Some of us were born in Florida and Tennessee but now we’re currently living in Northern New Jersey. SBF is more than just a music group. We’re a family we treat each other with loyalty and respect.

What do you think hinders you most from getting where you want to be?

Hanging on to a lot of unreleased music because we want to try to get it as perfect as we can for our fans. The pandemic also slowed us down a bit. We plan on going crazy this year though.

What has been the biggest obstacle of being an independent artist?

2020 and the music industry has become more of a streaming platform, therefore building our brand leverage has been quite challenging. Alongside, networking and having to educate ourselves to create a unique sound of music and learn the business aspect of it.

What’s your best accomplishment?

Being able to balance music while being student athletes. We can say we got at least 100 songs done just waiting to be released. Not many groups or even single artists in general can really say that and we all take pride in that.

What artist influenced your music?

(Woodz) – Lil Durk, Young Thug, and Future.

(Swoop) – 1030 Tuwop and Slime Dollaz.

(King2eus) – Young Thug, Future, Eminem

So, whose the engineer and producers behind the magic?

Shoutout 1800Beats, Xai Vert, and DiLo the producers.
Hollyboogz aka “Phil Jackson on the Boards” does the engineering shoutout Madison Ave Studios but we also have worked with ItsPlayPat out in LA shoutout Cali.

Is there anything we should be on the lookout for?

We just shot a video to our next single “Werkin” produced by 1800Beats definitely be on the lookout for that.
We got features with Paperlovee, Ricky Saint Laurent, and many more.
We’re also gonna be featured on our producer’s EP’s dropping soon.

Who are you looking forward to working with?

Future, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Gotit, and SlimeDollaz.
