We hear very few stories of successful business people who also have a track record in the music industry, Floyd “Timeless” Thomas, who is a serial entrepreneur, investor, producer and writer confronts all the obstacles. Growing up in  South Bend, Indiana he faced a myriad of challenges throughout his journey. Floyd began filming “Mogul In The Process,” which is a docu-series highlighting the ups and downs surrounding entrepreneurship.

Gaining inspiration at an early age from his mother and father, Floyd “Timeless” Thomas was able to build an empire later on in life. His mother didn’t even complete her high school education but yet she built a half million dollar cleaning business, all this while being a single mother of 7 children. Once she discovered that their grades and morals were slipping through the cracks, that’s when she gave the company up to be a full time mother. One of his biggest challenges while starting a business was learning where to successfully invest and reinvest his business profits. He had lost a great deal of money spending on liabilities rather than assets. One of his biggest rewards was scaling the business so big that he was able to provide jobs for dozens and dozens of people, while giving them hope and a future.

Floyd wishes that someone would have told him to “get over the fence first”. Then he could throw the rope back on the other side for people to get over the fence easier. He feels that Earlier on in his career he missed out on a lot of opportunities for the sake of trying to bring people with him, when he should’ve taken the opportunity first then brought them in. He also expresses that “credit in business is KING”. He’s been using his own money ever since he’s been in business which is a great thing because he carried no outstanding debts. However, he feels he could’ve grown much quicker by utilizing business credit to scale earlier.

There are many people that assisted in getting Floyd to where he is but he feels Paul Black stands out because he provided him with his first access to a recording studio. Paul was married to Floyd’s sister Angelica and he used to let him spend days, weeks and months in his studio to learn how to produce. Which, from producing he’s made more money than any other industry.
