Small town success stories can often sound like something you will only find on a movie screen; however, one popular model, Brittany Crisp, was able to turn this classic American story into her everyday reality. Brittany was born and raised in the little town of Exeter, New Hampshire, but she always imagined herself in the bright lights of the media as a model. Unfortunately, being from a small town did not supply many opportunities early on for Brittany to pursue such a unique career. Luckily, Brittany has always been a very intelligent individual and was a standout student throughout her school years. After graduating high school, she earned her college degree and began a career in graphic design. She successfully worked as a designer for seven years, but she felt as though she wasn’t truly fulfilling her potential. Something was missing from her life, and she had a strong feeling that it had to do with her long-time dream of becoming a model.

With the rapid rise of social media platforms such as Instagram enabling thousands of people to build lucrative careers online, Crisp decided it was in her best interest to pursue becoming an influencer on social media full-time. To take it one step further, she managed to monetize her social media presence by starting a business on OnlyFans, the popular subscription-based platform predominantly used by models and influencers. Now more commonly known as “bcrispin” to her fans, Brittany makes more money than any of her corporate design jobs have ever been able to provide her with. With the savings she acquires through her social media, Brittany plans to start her very own creative firm in the future. Although the earning potential is great on social media, money is not what initially attracted Brittany to the industry. She desired to help others through her own experience, and she realized that having a strong social media presence would ultimately allow her to help thousands of people.

Although Brittany hails from a small, quaint town, her life wasn’t by any means simple. In high school, Brittany did not have many good friends, and she was constantly bullied by upperclassmen girls at her school– from her freshman year to her junior year. Luckily, Brittany didn’t let the bullies destroy her confidence entirely, but she mentions that it did take a substantial toll on her mentally during such a crucial age for development.

“It’s funny how things change after you get out of your hometown and do something else with your life. You tend to meet new people and just forget the ones who made your life hell,” Brittany explained. It wasn’t long after Brittany started her Instagram business that her following began to skyrocket. Currently, Brittany has accumulated a following of over 400,000 loyal fans, and they only continue to rapidly grow as she posts additional content. For her, helping to motivate and inspire an abundance of people is the most rewarding aspect about having online fame.

Brittany began actively posting on Instagram in 2018 and was focused primarily on her fitness journey. After she started sharing a great deal of raw progress photos in bathing suits, her page began to take off. Her main focus was growing her glutes, as she was inspired by other prominent female fitness influencers who had done so.  Overall, the transformation was amazing, and Brittany received a heavy amount of positive feedback. She wanted to prove to her fans that anyone is capable of designing their dream body with hard work and consistency- both in the gym and in the kitchen.

Currently, Brittany is working on continuing to build her career as a model. She has big goals to grace the covers of prominent magazines in the near future, and is currently working on multiple placements within other various publications. Down the road, she is planning on going back to school to obtain her Master’s degree in business with the intention of opening her own design firm soon after.

Brittany’s one piece of advice for anyone who is planning to pursue their dream is, “Always stay true to yourself and to your brand. Show the people who follow you that you are a real human and that you go through the hardships of life just like everyone else. Don’t be afraid to be you- being authentic in a fake world is what will make you successful and respected. Most importantly, never compare yourself to others- as hard as it may seem.”

We encourage readers to keep up with the talented Brittany Crisp on her Instagram.
