23-Year-Old Texas Realtor Holds “Starving For Success” Cardboard Sign, Hands Out Business Cards

The path of entrepreneurship is not straight. There are bumps, curves, and missing roads. It’s up to the entrepreneur themself to recover after the bumps, realign after the curves, and figure out how to fill in the missing parts of the road.

This 23-year-old Texas realtor, Steve Sandoval, has been faced with the challenge of generating business on a small budget. “I have almost blown through my savings which went towards building my real estate business, moving expenses, and unexpected life challenges…I had to come up with a more cost-efficient way to generate business, so I decided to stand on the side of a main highway by where I live, hand out business cards, and hope people call after noticing that I will work harder than others,” says Sandoval.

Entrepreneurs are known for taking big risks, almost as if they aren’t scared of losing it all. Sandoval moved to Texas to pursue his real estate career. “I risked and will continue to risk everything I have until I am successful because I am more scared of not being successful when compared to being homeless or going bankrupt,” he says. “Building a business around helping people jump through some of the hoops when selling a home or trying to buy one is very fulfilling to me. That is why I am pouring everything I have into making this happen, because I thoroughly enjoy it,” he adds.

In an article by Tom Ferry, he points out that the National Association of Realtors mentioned that 87% of real estate agents fail. With the statistics not on Sandoval’s side, he has a lot going against him.

Sandoval has tried multiple businesses since 18, with one of them revolving around real estate. “I get tired and sad like everyone else when things don’t go my way, but I’m hard headed. I don’t give in,” he says.

He is hoping to help 100 home sellers and 30 home buyers with the help of his partner and then scale his brand into different states while making sure that his work ethic follows the teams he created so that their clients can always expect the same service.

“I hope this encourages someone to create their own business or if they already have one, to motivate them to continue pushing their limit,” says Sandoval.

When asked how others could help him, Sandoval said, “I would hope that people share this on their Facebook or with someone else they know who is in business.”
