A new project called EP3 has been dropped by Head Fake recently. The project involves use of retro synths in complement with modern tools so as to create a soundscape which is unique in nature and evokes the 80s new wave again. The song is a combination of deep lyrics and production.

The listeners are drawn to the nostalgic sounds of the past years and decades, away from all the chaos that is happening around them including the chaotic sounds created in the name of music. The listener can enjoy living through the past and seep in the nostalgia.

The band member, Michael, shared that as a band, they understood that due to the continued crisis, people are looking at listening to something from old times; the times when everything was normal and golden. As artists, they can notice people’s growing interest in music that is set in past times. So they decided to create a collection of songs that will contribute to their emotions & interest.

EP3 has contributions from producer Ivan, London-based vocalist-composer-bassist James, and multi-instrumentalist and composer Michael. There is a highlight track on the EP- Hollywood Dreams, which is about dreams, fame and fortune. It tells a story about how some people find their way through it all, instead of going through some addiction struggle.

Head Fake’s second project EP2 also continues the 80’s instrumental themes. It has crossover of pop and country music. The band is now doing the recordings remotely since the pandemic. The reviewers have been saying nicest things about the project. One of them wrote that the best part of the project is the tracks that have been made with absolute perfection without changing the original essence.
