Since the dawn of man, there have been countless challenges that we have fought through and multiple storms that we have braved. As the dust slowly settles in the most difficult challenges we face today, one question remains. How do we treat each other the way we deserve to be treated? How do we progress toward a society that is more accepting of the differences in its people rather than judge each other for those very differences?

The answer to these questions lies in the very depths of our minds, depths that can only be unlocked through art. Gabrielle “Gigi” Robinson prides herself in being an artist, activist, and a full-time content creator. Her content is centered around body positivity and chronic illnesses and shares content about it across multiple social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Quack.

Gigi Robinson is a New York native who attended the Fame School, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Photography from the University of Southern California. She has been given the gracious opportunity of serving as an executive board member and founding member of USC Reach, USC’s first and only social media club.

USC Reach is the first and only social media club at USC that fully aims to foster a community for individuals who are invested in social media including influencers, content creators, photographers, designers, entrepreneurs, and digital marketers. If their career interests or hobbies involve social media, USC Reach encourages them to apply. Currently, they are working on expanding to other college campuses, and they urge anyone interested in joining their college community to send them an email.  Since then, Gigi Robinson has become a celebrated name in the micro-influencer community for her bright and colorful photography and presence on social media.

Gigi Robinson is also a freelance video and photo creator on TikTok, where she partners with various brands and endorses them through her fantastic storytelling about products that help her chronic symptoms and clean beauty products and apparel that she uses in her content about self-confidence and body positivity.

She incorporates her endorsements through lifestyle videos, which are natural to her primarily female audience. She has had multiple artworks displayed in galleries and museums all over the world, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Tweed Courthouse, and more. Gigi Robinson has also partnered with a variety of brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Boohoo, Biore Skincare, EF College Breaks, Higher Education Skincare, Holla App, Kendra Scott, Smashbox Cosmetics, Tinder University, Timberland and TikTok.

As an individual who is living with a chronic illness, Gigi Robinson uses her platform to spread awareness of the harsh realities of her illness. She wants to break the stigma surrounding disability and body issues as she passionately discusses topics such as eating disorders and body dysmorphia in her content.

Her voice is an important light in the darkness of ignorance that still pervades social media. Gigi Robinson wants to encourage people from all over the world to challenge the idea of what it means to be conventionally beautiful, according to social media. She wishes to inspire others to be kind to one another rather than bringing each other down.

No matter which platform she uses, whether it’s YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, Gigi Robinson remains to be her authentic self. She wants to amplify her voice as a chronic illness and body image activist, and she does so through the beautiful art that she creates. She hopes to inspire everyone through her work, though it’s undeniable that she already has.
