Layla Alotaibi: Inspiring Change Through Her Literature

To this day, words still hold a powerful influence on the lives of millions of people all over the world, just as it has done in the past in the written works of William Shakespeare and the impactful speeches of Martin Luther King Jr. No matter what the social concern may be, the right words always find a way to inspire change and promote development. Such is the dream of 22-year-old Layla Alotaibi as she publishes her literature online.

Layla is a young mother and entrepreneur who seeks to break the barriers that prevent young people like her from achieving success in this challenging generation. Through her literature, she intends to inspire young people to pursue their life’s purpose regardless of the circumstances surrounding them. Apparently, too many young people today settle for a mediocre way of life without fully understanding their potential for greatness.

As a parent and artist, Layla believes that using her written works as a means to connect to people will help her greatly in realizing her goals. She intends to turn her books into films that will breathe life into the parched minds of young people. Through these films, Layla will bring life to many pressing social issues that the world faces today. By shedding light on these issues, she hopes to open the minds of people and activate them to act.

Additionally, Layla wants people who are living under harsh conditions to understand that they are not alone—that there are many others around the world experiencing the same predicament. This realization, she hopes, will inspire people to press on and work harder to create better lives for themselves.

As a person, Layla is driven by so much positivity. She is resilient, wise, and outgoing. She wishes to impart the same attributes to many people in the country who feel like they do not have a voice, that there is no hope, or that there is no way out of their sad plight. Layla’s literature intends to inspire people to boldly take a leap of faith, to believe in the power of their dreams, and to persevere even when they do not know the outcome in the end. What matters, Layla believes, is that people do not easily give up without even trying first.

She believes that putting up a fight to survive is every person’s right and innate gift. Some, however, just need to be reminded of their potential to be strong and creative.

Fear is an emotion that Layla overcame very early in life. She realized that a lot of people are being held back by their fears—the fear of being rejected, judged, and criticized. By overcoming her fear and putting herself out in the world, she is adding value to the way people think and see things. When value is added, people feel better about themselves, communities are united, indifference is crushed, and people become mindful of others.

The change Layla wants to see in the world may be overwhelmingly huge, but the movement to ignite the fire needs to start from somewhere. By starting with her published works, she is fanning a flame that has always been burning deep in the hearts of people.
