Thanks to the advent of new technology in gaming, athletics programs all over America have developed and expanded to include a new competitor – esports teams. According to ESPN, there are over 130 college varsity programs as of 2019 – an indication of the massive potential that collegiate esports holds.

Wanting to bring this growth further to a global scale, the North American Collegiate League has partnered with Mediabunance to help bring collegiate esports to a worldwide arena. The North American Collegiate League (NACL) is a non-profit Esports and entertainment organization based in El Paso, Texas that hosts and streams video game tournaments and league play that offers scholarship prizes for collegiate esports competitors.

This serves the purpose of fostering a communal relationship between established players, those who are looking to enter the scene, and even those who do not entirely know what the esports industry has to offer them.

Creating a system that bridges the gap between academic and traditional sports scholarships, the NACL rewards those who put in the time and effort to become good and connected in the rapidly growing world of esports. This helps remove the stigma usually attributed to esports by providing a platform where students can help better their education while being involved in something that they enjoy and are passionate about.

Since its inception in 2019, the NACL has rapidly grown to become one of the biggest e-sports and entertainment organizations in the world. Wanting to continue on this upward trajectory, the NACL has recently partnered with Mediabundance, a New-York based agency with expertise in global marketing, to expand its reach worldwide.

“E-Sports and gaming are the future. David Chen & NACL have established themselves as leaders in this industry. Our partnership brings the best of both worlds into the future together,” says Mike Mumola, Founding Partner of Mediabundance.

With decades of proven experience and relationship capital in the business, sports marketing, multimedia, & technology, Mediabundance is the perfect partner to help extend the reach of the NACL across the globe. Through this partnership, Mediabunance aims to open a variety of alignment opportunities to not only help further expand NACL but also accelerate the growth of the esports industry.

“We give gamers the ability to take their collegiate talent to a pro scene with global exposure, and our partnership with Mediabundance will enhance our network and coverage,” said David Chen, founder of NACL.

In just a short time, the North American Collegiate League has established itself to be one of the biggest esports organizations across the globe. It has even become the Collegiate league with streaming & TV rights in Asia reaching 7 different countries, including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan & Malaysia. Now with global marketing experts Mediabundance by their side, the NACL aims to bring collegiate esports into the world arena and help not only its student benefactors but also the industry itself.
