Losing your device can be heartbreaking. Smartphones are like an integral part of our existence. It contains all the sensitive details, contacts, and pictures of our loved ones.

However, if you lose your smartphone, tablet, or watch, do not lose hope. There is still a way to recover it. Google has an app that can be helpful. Find my Device app by Google can quickly help track your device.

If the device is logged in to your Google account, it is easy to track the device. In such cases, Find my Device is already activated. All a person has to do is download the app. Then log in to your Gmail account, go to Settings > Security > Find My Device or follow a similar process.

As long as the lost device is turned on and is connected to the Internet, it will be easy to access it. Moreover, if the GPS is on, it will be easier. Find my Device can track the device location. Besides that, there are other additional apps as well, like the spy phone app, that helps you track the phones in your family and can also become a major help in keeping the security of your family intact.

Other than that, if you are not able to track your device, you can lock the device and write a message with an accompanying phone number. That way, if someone finds the number, they know which number to call to reach you.

If that seems like a far fetched idea, then, the last resort is to delete the data on the phone, find My Device app also has the option of remotely deleting the device. That way, all personal information remains protected. However, the person will need to get a new device, but at least the data will be safe.

Find my Device is a great tool for anyone who has misplaced or lost their phone, tablet, or smartwatch. It can either help you track or delete the device remotely.
