The COVID-19 lockdown has forced people to work from home. People aren’t allowed to go outside unless it’s absolutely necessary. More and more people are working from home, and they work from their couches or bed. This situation has led to increased cases of back pain globally.

Kaia Health surveyed its newsletter subscribers. It asked them questions about how isolation due to the virus outbreak was affecting their mental and physical health. Twenty-five thousand subscribers replied to the newsletter, which was suffering from back pain.

Back pain was more evident in people who hadn’t left their house in 7 days and were working from home. The reply came from people from France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the UK, and the US.

Most of them were between the ages of 25 and 55. 53% reported that back pain increased when they were in strict isolation and didn’t leave their home in 7 days. It also increased because of watching TV or streaming videos for long periods.

28% of low-isolation respondents and 37% of high-isolation respondents informed Kaia Heath that their pack pain increased since they started working from their beds and couches.

The lockdown may go on for a while, so people must get used to working from home. However, the doctors at My Back Relief Clinic are suggesting people to get some movement to prevent back pain.

You can start exercising at home, do some yoga or stretches. Doctors recommended some yoga poses for back pain. The Sphinx pose relieves any back pain. Moreover, the locust pose, camel pose, and bridge pose also help with back pain and improve posture.
