Ventilated Storage Units are the best bet for your Belongings

Standard or Heated/Ventilated units, similar to standard storage, are the best storage options that can be offered to customers by the storage facilitators. They are low cost and offer indoor, non- temperature controlled facility. They are generally on high floor levels and there are vents on the outside walls allowing air flow. These units are indoors thus giving an added layer of protection from the heat and cold, as well as the wind and dust.

Such types of units by storage providers make sure your belongings are in a place ‘like home’ with not too much heat or air conditioners i.e. too much cold conditions. As there are vents, the atmosphere is free flowing over becoming stagnant.

There is neither too much heating or cooling thus ‘natural’ atmosphere can be achieved which is great for the belongings. But it is best not to store antiques, paintings, pictures, family heirlooms, musical instruments, wine, collectibles, leather, suede, and other sensitive materials in these types of units as they are best stored in climate controlled storage units.

During cold winter months, heat is blown throughout the area of the Heated and Ventilated storage unlike in Standard storage. This is the main difference between them and also the reason why ventilated storage holds a better place in the list of types of storage. Also to add the warmth, the heat is only blown and not kept at a certain degree like the Climate Controlled storage where the unit is kept at a certain temperature range. The spring and summer months make sure that the space is well ventilated, not requiring any artificial temperature control.
