Did you know your boring admission application essay can disqualify you from joining your desired college or university? Well, impressing your admission officer is the key to gaining your entrance into that university.

This could be the reason many students prefer sourcing a custom essay writing service to have an appealing application essay. Admission officers are busy reading thousands of application essays each year. Besides, there are other students with similar aspirations like yours of joining the university.

Because of the high number of application essays that demand their review, they only pay attention to an essay that is catching their attention. So, the question is, how do you make your admission essay the best to impress your admission officer?

1. Understand what the officer is looking for

Of course, the admission officers are looking for students with certain traits and ambitions to be admitted into their university. First, they want bright students who will succeed once admitted into the university. Secondly, they want students who will improve other students and finally a student who will bring honor to the university before and after graduation.

Most universities base their admission on these three important factors. That means you have to consider these three needs in your writing and portray yourself as the student they are looking for.

You need to reassure them that you will succeed in their university, that you are determined to score great grades, that you will bring prestige to the university, and help other students in the university.

2. Come up with the essay goals you want to achieve

Now after these admission officers have gone through your admission essay, what will they think of you? As long as you want them to perceive you as that responsible, ambitious, and dependable student, you need to spice these virtues with your other personalities related to your coursework.

You can feature your personality concerning your participation in organizations, clubs, community or any teamwork. This will show that you are not just a book-warmer but an all-rounded person. You will be amazed that universities want such a person.

3. Have a catchy introduction

Now that you have laid the goals you want to achieve with your essay, it is time to start your writing. The first shot to the bullseye is having an appealing and attention-catching introduction. As mentioned earlier, there are thousands of admission essays demanding the review of the admission officers.

That means, they have very limited time on a given admission essay. But do you know you can make them get stuck in your essay? The secret lies behind having a great introduction. Most custom essay writing services know how to write a catchy intro.

4. Be unique

You have to distinguish yourself from all the other students seeking their placement in the same university. You may be surprised to know that you don’t need lengthy and paragraphs for the admission officer to know your personality. A simple sentence or two can vividly reveal who you are.

You must take time and come up with those features that make you different from the rest students. They should be easy to notice features. Those distinguishing features could earn you an entrance into your dream university.

5. Show them your value in the university

If the university is not going to benefit from your admission into it, you might lose your opportunity of joining the school. The admission board aims at admitting students that are assets to the university. If you cannot add any value to the other students in the university, you are not fit to be in their school. However, pass your point with one or two sentences.

6. Be detailed in your writing

This is not the kind of essay where you do lengthy typing to show that you are a real scholar. If some words are not necessary for a sentence, don’t use them. Your goal is to keep your admission essay as detailed as possible. A detailed essay makes a stronger impression than a lengthy write-up. Also, remember to celebrate yourself by showcasing your personality and strength.

7. Choose the right diction and style

You are soon becoming a university student and that means choosing the right words in your essay. Your diction shows your personality and intellectualism. Try as much as possible to avoid common lower-level words. Use more relevant vocabulary and show your command of English is comforting.

When it comes to your style of writing, show your university-level skills. Use those schemes, metaphors and complex sentences to distinguish your essay from the rest.

8. Proofread your work

Man is to err. You may have made some grammatical, organizational, or diction mistakes during your writing. Grammatical errors will disqualify you from joining the university. You may need to ask your friend or parent to do the proofreading.

9. Submit on Time

Honor deadline and all the requirements of your admission essay. Always be to date because late submission will lead to automatic rejection of your application.

With the above tips and writing techniques, you can relax and wait for your admission letter. You are fully equipped to impress your admission officers if you follow the above when writing your admission essay.
