Hank Boone: Overcoming the Challenges of Being In the Film Industry

One of the most challenging industries to make a career in is film. While a slight number of people make fortunes off huge Hollywood productions, many are left out to dry. The industry is wilting with the digital revolution flooding the marketplace, online distribution becoming a norm, and producers and writers struggling to come up with original ideas. Despite all of the hardships of the industry, Hank Boone is making a name for himself in film.

Growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hank Boone fell in love with acting from an early age. While mostly sticking to on stage acting, Hank made his way into the film industry through a fluke. While attending a mixing event with a friend, participants were asked to put their name and career on their name tags. As a joke Hank wrote “actor”. That very event inspired Hank to pursue a career in film.

Some of the biggest struggles along the way have been getting accumulated to the fast moving and ever changing aspects of film. For one, moving out to LA where all the action is. We got a chance to talk to Hank about the fast paced lifestyle of a film actor and producer. He said, “as an entertainer, actor, producer-whatever the capacity-one of the biggest struggles was the “in between” of living in the Fresno area and trying to transition to the big L.A.” An experience many actors have to go through.

Despite the challenges Hank says he’s ready for whatever is thrown at him. He said, “There are days that I wake up to complete curveballs but that’s the life in the day of an entertainer. There are also days of complete euphoria and things just don’t seem real in a good way. I try to keep myself grounded so that I am ready for anything that this road throws at me.” That type of positive euphoric attitude is exactly what young and hungry actors and producers like Hank Boone need. Otherwise the career will be almost unbearable.

With two films on the way Hank Boone is in good position to take full advantage of the new year. Stay up to date with his career on his socials and website posted below:
