Indian Destination Wedding Industry will Reach Rs. 45,000 Cr. in 2020

Though the destination wedding is not the Indian concept of the wedding, it is getting very popular across the country. It has been reported that the Indian destination wedding industry is expected to reach Rs. 45,000 Cr by 2020. There is also a projected annual growth rate of 25-30%.

Rise of the middle class, a booming economy, and celebrity advertisements are diverting the Indian people to go for a destination wedding on different available locations across the country.

Destination weddings in India are also giving a lot of benefits to wedding planners, banquet organizers, and wedding apparel designers. Thousands of people are getting employment in India through the destination wedding industry. Indian people are happily spending almost a third of their life savings on weddings.

They are getting inspired by celebrities who are choosing different locations in the country and outside the country for their special occasion. People are also willing to join them by investing their savings on the destination wedding.

The preferred locations in India for a destination wedding are Rajasthan, Goa, Kerala, and Uttarakhand. Rajasthan is the most preferred location out of all for a destination wedding by the Indian people.

Rajasthan has many popular royal destinations such as Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur. But Jaipur is chosen more by the people for the destination wedding. The cost of destination wedding in Jaipur is in accordance with the budget of the people. The rising destination weddings are also increasing the Indian hospitality industry that has seen an upswing for the last five years.
