Jamal Antar is a French-Moroccan actor who was born on December 23rd, 1976. Antar was born in Toulouse, which is in the South of France, to Moroccan immigrant parents who worked as a property developer and housewife. Antar, who is the eldest of 3 brothers, grew up in a neighborhood on the rougher side; it was there that he learned to develop a tough persona that is similar to the many Mafioso roles that Antar is now famous for playing.

Antar is one of the most well-known up and coming Moroccan actors currently working in the film and television industry today. He is well-known for his excellent dramatic work, as well as his roles which utilize his natural tough persona that is rooted in the experiences he had growing up in a rough neighborhood.
As an actor, Antar is particularly well-known for his roles related to the Italian mafia and similar organizations. Let’s take a closer look at his most notable roles in order to discover the current body of work from this up and coming, talented actor.

One notable role that Antar played was an Italian mafia member in NCIS: LA; NCIS: LA is a popular procedural show related to the NCIS division that apprehends elusive and often dangerous criminals through the use of undercover work, advanced technology, and more.

Another role that Antar is well-known for includes his work as an Armenian mafia member in LA’s Finest, an American police procedural drama that first premiered in 2019. This show, created by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier, was produced by Sony Pictures Television and is a spin-off of the Bad Boys film franchise. The show is actually the very first content show made for Spectrum TV, under the Spectrum Originals brand.

Antar’s work on the exclusive show Seal Team is another notable role. He played a member of the Mexican cartel; SEAL Team is a military drama about an elite unit of NAVY seals who handle the most elite, dangerous missions in the country.

One of the most interesting recent roles Antar has played includes the man of a warlord from the series 68 Whiskey, which is an adaptation of a previous series called Charlie Golf One. This series follows a group of army medics working in Afghanistan.

Not all of Antar’s roles are related to the mafia or cartel: in The Politician, a show about a high schooler who is planning on becoming the president of the United States in the future, Antar played a secret service agent. Another non-mafia role includes a role as a prisoner in Star Wars: Mondolarian, a Star Wars spin-off series that deals with several side characters from the Star Wars film franchise.

Antar’s career is considered to be one of the most promising and talented of any Moroccan actor. As his filmography, television roles and career continue to blossom, Antar will continue to grace television screens with his excellent character work, dramatic skills, and an acting talent that is sure to impress.
