Kid Cudi And Kenya Barris Are Gearing Up For a Netflix Animated Series

Kenya Barris and Kid Cudi have set a music series in adult animated genre at Netflix. The series is added with a twist which will be showcased after its release by Republic Records. The series will express the music of Cudi’s upcoming album “Entergalactic.” The album is based on a young man and his journey to find true love.

Cudi’s real name is Scott Mescudi and he will write, produce, and star in the series. Ian Edelman will also be involved in the series as a writer and executive producer. Kenya Barris will also join them as an executive producer under his Khalabo Ink Society banner, which is under a deal with Netflix. Kid Cudi And Kenya Barris are gearing up to present a story of the young man with the collaboration of an adult animated theme with music.

This is the third announced project for Barris at Netflix after he signed a profitable deal with the streamer and exited ABC Studios. Previously it was announced that Kenya Barris will also execute produce a sketch comedy series from the Astronomy Club comedy team. And now Barris is set to write, executive produce, and star in a comedy series titled “Black Excellence” with Rashida Jones.

Cudi entered the music scene with his 2008 debut album “Man on the Moon: The End of Day” which obtained double-platinum certification from the RIAA. In 2010, he followed that up with the platinum-selling “Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager”. Further he released many album including, Kids See Ghosts, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin. Recently he is seen in the Luca Guadagnino series “We Are Who We Are.”
