Renowned Thai boxing company Yokkao is on a roll as it continues to expand its fight team. Following the recent addition of Muay Thai world champion, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Yokkao founder Philip Villa has just signed two female fighters to the Yokkao Fight Team: Aida Looksaikongdin and Duangdawnoi Looksaikongdin.
Aida and Duangdawnoi are sisters in a big family of fighters. They train under the guidance of their father, Kru Noparit Yohanngo at their family-run Looksaikongdin gym in the Min Buri district just north of Bangkok. The Looksaikongdin camp is a well-known name in the Muay Thai circles and many of Kru Noparit’s children have won titles within the sport and in boxing.
Philip Villa shares: “The fighting blood that runs in this family is truly frightening and we can’t wait to showcase to the world what they are made of”
The two sisters are rising stars in the Muay Thai female scene. 23-year-old Duangdawnoi is an established name with a fight record of 50 wins, 20 losses and 5 draws. She is the 2014 WPMF world champion -47kg, a WMO world champion, Pattaya Boxing world champion -47kg as well as a OPBF boxing silver medalist -47kg.
18-year-old Aida is making a name for herself as she climbs the ranks in the female fight scene. She is a 3-time gold medalist in the Muay Thai amateur competitions from 2018 to 2020 with a record of 65 fights with 48 wins, 15 losses and 2 draws. Aida will make it to the global stage for her next fight when she competes on Japanese Kickboxing promotion, RISE on 28 February in Yokohama.
