For those who live in the greater Sacramento, California area, many are familiar with the voice of Henny Holyfield, the host of Top Shelf Radio, which is broadcasted on The 360 Radio. However, Holyfield is not just a local radio personality. The Sacramento celebrity is also a successful recording artist and a hard-working and loving family man.
Formerly known as the artist Hennessey, Henny Holyfield has lived and made music in the Sacramento area for over two decades. The artist is inspired by the likes of Tupac Shakur, Heavy D, and Nas. Holyfield has released solo work, along with a few joint projects, to help people recognize that life is meant to be enjoyed. “We all have ups and downs, and it is up to us how we take those situations and learn from them,” said Holyfield. In July of 2020, the Sacramento artist released his solo album titled, “Clocked In.” With his new solo album release, Henny said that the project has opened up new doors for him. He is in the middle of collaborations with his Sacramento peers, including rappers Sol and Speak EZ, and Holyfield is still working on more solo material, due out in 2021.
On top of his professional career, Holyfield is most inspired by and takes great pride in the family he has formed with his loving wife and three children. Balancing a budding professional career and a strong-rooted family life can be difficult, but Holyfield has found a way to do both in a flourishing manner. “I want people to know I have flaws and am not afraid to put them out there so that people know I’m a regular person, not someone trying to seem as if I have it all and can do no wrong.”
The 20-year veteran has a lot on his plate right now, so stay tuned with Henny Holyfield on his Facebook to stay up-to-date with new music releases and everything else the Sacramento personality has going on.
