Youngsters these days struggle from depression, negative self-image, anxiety, and low self-confidence. All of these are related to self-esteem. Anyone with low self-esteem will struggle throughout life if they don’t tackle the issue straight away. If you want your child to work on their self-esteem and improve it, then The Happiness Coach has shared a few ways to do so.
Hold a motivational quote competition in the family. Every day or 2, decide to have quotes competition, and your children will come up with quotes that inspire them. It is a great way to know where they are at and to boost their confidence.
Self Appreciation projection exercises are another way to improve self-esteem. When kids learn to appreciate their good qualities, they will grow in confidence. Ask your kids to write a thing or two that they like about themselves.
Practice days of positive affirmations. Set a day for positive affirmations; on this day, family members will say sweet things or two about the child. If your child believes he/she is good at household chores or art, then affirm their claims. It is an excellent way to encourage them and increase their self-esteem.
Most of the kids grow up hating their bodies; it is one of the worst mental issues with youngsters. Teach your kid appreciation of self-image, ask them to stand in front of the mirror, and appreciate 3 of their features. Practicing self-appreciation in front of the mirror will change your kid’s perspective. They will grow to love themselves and accept themselves.
As parents, it is your duty to encourage your child, do not discourage or tease your child about something they are already insecure about. The Happiness Coach has shared all these methods to help improve your child’s self-esteem.
