The private sector sports performance industry is no different.

Becoming a world class sports performance coach requires much more than motivation, it requires exceptional discipline, will power, and career direction.

In the private sector sports performance industry, “there is no career direction” says Adam.

Adam Menner, a sports performance coach to high-level athletes such as ESPN’s top 100, D1 All Americans, and NBA athletes. He has worked with over ten thousand (10,000) athletes in the last seven (7) years.

Adam continues, “as with any profession, we need people to hold us accountable for our actions, to ensure we are always on track with our efforts.”

We need a mentor.

In conjunction with training athletes, Adam consults coaches and trainers from all over the world in building their careers and businesses.

As with all coaches, Adam had humble beginnings, “for years I worked long hours for extremely little pay in the beginning.”  he adds.

He had one skill that he believes set him apart, the power of observation.

He continues, “step back, observe, and become a master problem-solver. If you learn this one skill you will never become indispensable.”

Earning a riveting $179 a paycheck every two weeks, working close to 80 hours a week, he knew something had to change.

By identifying the holes in the current business, he became a business owner himself in just three years.

Adam is an adamant believer in the fact that the harder one works, the luckier one gets, “Everyday, you should have 1-3 habits that will move the needle of your career forward.” he urges.

Adam, along with the Business of Strength Team, aim to provide a sense of community for other coaches who need direction. He finds that it is very easy to lose sight of the “main objective.” Which is why he advocates the idea of building relationships and connecting with others is where true success can be found.

Adam’s work delves much deeper than providing the most cutting edge fitness career and business information. He goes beyond that by creating a community with his clients. This is the catalyst for learning and growth.

He believes all coaches and trainers should pursue work that will leverage your skills and help you create opportunities that will build long term careers.

He insinuated earlier, it starts with problem-solving. “It doesn’t matter if you’re an athlete, an intern, a coach, or a business owner – what’s essential is that we change the way we see things.” He continues, “Once you’ve done this, you must identify your skills and double down on a select few.”

Adam reminds us that if you truly want to be recognized as a world leader in your field, you must be willing to do what nobody wants. Greatness is where hard work meets opportunity.

“If you truly want to be successful, you must spend the initial stages of your career serving others and providing value”, he adds.

The work Adam and his team are doing has helped over 50 gyms, business owners, and coaches generate over 3 million dollars in revenue in the last two and a half years.

If you’re a coach, trainer or business owner in the private sector sports performance industry and are looking to transform your business we suggest you contact Adam here:
